Summary

N. Scott Carpenter has been practicing law since 1994. He is the founding member and Managing Partner of Carpenter & Schumacher, P.C. Scott has 20 years of experience litigating and handling cases in the areas of insurance subrogation, product defect litigation, catastrophic fire and explosion cases, wrongful death, and other general civil litigation. He is a frequent speaker at seminars in Texas and across the United States where he discusses topics related to subrogation.

Scott has served in various leadership capacities in the State of Texas, and in his local community. He is a past President of the Plano Bar Association, served two three-year terms on the Plano Independent School District Board of Trustees, and is a past Texas Chapter co-chairman of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP).

A tireless supporter of organizations dedicated to improving the quality of public parks and recreation, Scott has served on numerous boards and committees such as the Plano Parks Foundation, the Plano Symphony Orchestra, and the Volunteer Center of Collin County. He is also a graduate of Leadership Plano Class XIV. While in law school, Scott was selected for membership in the Order of Barristers, a national honor society that recognizes distinguished third-year students for excellence and achievement in oral and written advocacy in, and other contributions to, Moot Court and Mock Trial programs.
